One of the most celebrated Afro Pop musicians in South Africa, Amanda Black has been under scrutiny since the weekend after her appearance at the Maseru Jazz Festival.

Amanda Black had a lot of her fans in shock this past weekend when she appeared with untidy hair and a seemingly casual look for her performance.

She has managed to make the top of the trends lists on social media when an X (formerly known as Twitter) user @MsRebaone shared her picture and complained about the singer’s physical presentation at the concert. “I paid R250 for a ticket and Amanda Black came like this last night ko Maseru Jazz Festival,” said @MsRebaone.

All while, another user defended the singer by saying: “Stop judging people how they should be wearing… You went to the event to hear what she sings not what she’s wearing!”
