Rocking the Daisies 2023: Sun-El Musician, Samthing Soweto, Da Capo to headline the show

The renowned South African music and lifestyle festival, Rocking the Daisies, has revealed its collaboration with Platoon, a prominent artist services company championing African music on a global scale. In this partnership, Platoon assumes the role of the official sunset line-up curation partner for the Cape Town segment of the annual event.

Platoon’s involvement aims to spotlight their diverse and soulful South African roster, featuring a Platoon artist across all stages during the enchanting sunset hours. The festival boasts a multifaceted line-up, including acclaimed artists such as Stormzy, Ayra Starr, J.I.D, Denzel Curry, and The Vamps.

Beyond musical performances, Rocking the Daisies, recognized as #34 on Billboard’s 50 Best Festivals Of 2022, offers a variety of activations and lifestyle experiences spanning food, fashion, art, technology, and wellness.

The Platoon Golden Hour, a highlight of the collaboration, will showcase performances from award-winning artists like Samthing Soweto, Sun-El Musician, Da Capo, Bongeziwe Mabandla, Flvme, Hanna, DJ Lag, DJ Kenza, Mpho.WAV, Anais Cardot, Kay Faith, and Berlin DJ trio Le Yora.

Originally slated for October, the festival faced a postponement to November due to severe floods in the Western Cape in September. The decision to reschedule was made after extensive consultations with safety teams, suppliers, stakeholders, and city officials, aligning with official statements from the Western Cape government on the disaster.

Rocking the Daisies is now scheduled to unfold in Cape Town from November 17-19, with an additional segment at Supersport Park in Johannesburg on November 19.
