Actress and comedian Tiffany Haddish found herself in trouble with the law when she was apprehended after being discovered “slumped over the wheel of a car” with the engine still running, according to the Los Angeles Police.
The 43-year-old, renowned for her role in the 2017 comedy film Girls Trip, was taken into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence (DUI). The incident unfolded around 5:45 am when officers responded to reports of a stopped car obstructing lanes on Beverley Drive.
This arrest occurred following Tiffany Haddish’s performance at the Laugh Factory in Los Angeles on Thursday night, where she hosted a Thanksgiving dinner for the community. Despite being scheduled for performances on Friday and Saturday night, the Grammy and Emmy Award-winning star now faces legal consequences.
At the time of reporting, a spokesperson for Haddish had not provided a response to the incident.
This isn’t the first encounter with DUI-related issues for Haddish; she was arrested last year in Atlanta for the very same reason.
