    Watch: “Squid Game” season 2 trailer is officially out!


    In 2021, the Netflix survival drama “Squid Game” gained a whole lot of fame for its commentary on capitalism and its intense competition involving deadly children’s games.

    The Korean series became a global sensation, prompting viewers to wonder if there would be a Season 2. The answer is yes, as Netflix officially confirmed the renewal on June 12, 2022. While an exact release date hasn’t been announced, production is underway after the first table read in June 2023. Given this timeline, fans can expect Season 2 to premiere in 2024 or later.

    The main cast will include Lee Jung-jae reprising his role as Seong Gi-hun (Player 456), Lee Byung-hun as the Front Man, Gong Yoo, and Wi Ha-joon as Hwang Jun Ho. Additionally, four new cast members—Yim Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Sung-hoon, and Yang Dong-geun—have joined the series. The full cast, revealed on June 29, includes other newcomers like Jo Yu-ri, Park Gyu-young, Kang Ae-sim, Lee David, Lee Jin-uk, Choi Seung-hyun, Roh Jae-won, and Won Ji-an.

    While their characters remain undisclosed, the anticipation for Season 2 continues to build and we can’t wait to see what they have in store for us this time.
