    AFCON 2023: Senegal v Gambia Match Recap

    Senegal commenced their Africa Cup of Nations title defense with a convincing 3-0 win over 10-man Gambia in Group C today. Lamine Camara played a pivotal role, as he scored twice to secure the victory, thus ending a streak of surprising results in the tournament held in the Ivory Coast.

    In the opening Group C encounter at the Charles Konan Banny Stadium, Pape Gueye put Senegal in the lead with an early goal in the fourth minute.
