Social media users couldn’t resist cracking jokes when Canadian-born American rapper Aubrey ‘Drake’ Graham reportedly lost $700,000 (approximately R13.3 million) after betting on American UFC fighter Sean Strickland to retain his UFC middleweight title against South Africa’s Dricus du Plessis at UFC 297.

Social media users were quick to recall the notorious “Drake curse” as the rapper reportedly faced a loss in his R13.3 million bet. The “Drake curse” is a phenomenon where UFC fighters supported by the Hotline Bling hitmaker tend to experience unexpected defeats, as reported by Sportskeeda.
