The country came out in numbers to support the Springboks for the rugby world cup. Clubs, complexes and estates were shut down, and it was a proud moment when the Boks lifted the cup.

Even though the team didn’t take the Women’s World Cup, the country was very excited to watch them play. Some of the players even got marriage proposals.

South Africa got tired of the world’s deafening silence on apartheid Israel’s ongoing genocide of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

BRICS added more countries to the table so that a bloc of major emerging economies could represent the interests of the developing world.
SA Proteas make semis for the cricket world cup:
Right after the Rugby world cup, the Proteas took center stage at the cricket world cup, and they made Mzansi proud when they made it to the semifinals.
