Chart-topping South African singer Makhadzi is set to become a married woman, as she and her boyfriend Lawrence Mulaudzi move forward with wedding plans.
Makhadzi and the businessman have kept their relationship out of the public eye since getting together in 2022, following her split from ex Master KG. But sources now reveal that Mulaudzi privately proposed around December, sending a delegation to ask for Makhadzi’s hand in marriage in traditional custom.
Though no ring or wedding date is confirmed yet, insiders say Makhadzi has grown and learned a lot from Mulaudzi during their discreet courtship. She now splits time between Cape Town where he is based, and Gauteng and Limpopo for performances.
Keen to keep her personal life under wraps, Makhadzi may continue hiding an engagement ring to avoid scrutiny. But it seems this powerful musical couple is ready to take their love to the next level in matrimony.
