Well-known South African presenter Pabi Moloi is facing accusations of bribery in an attempt to delay her divorce proceedings with her baby daddy. The allegations surfaced when her estranged husband, Ruan Adams, claimed that his lawyer, Lutendo Siphuma of SL Attorney, accepted a bribe from Moloi or her legal team.
Adams is seeking half of Moloi’s lucrative estate and monthly spousal maintenance. Siphuma withdrew as Adams’ attorney and sent a letter to Moloi addressing the accusations and threats.
In the letter submitted to the Joburg High Court, Siphuma stated, “We have also been accused of having taken a bribe from your offices and/or from your client directly to stall the divorce process.” He further mentioned that they are terminating their mandate due to Adams’ behaviour, which includes threats and accusations, jeopardizing the attorney-client relationship.
Additionally, Adams is facing a criminal case for alleged death threats and harassment against Siphuma and his office. Adams claims that he and Moloi were married in community of property and is demanding a division of their joint estate. However, Moloi disputes this, saying that they were not legally married and, therefore, Adams is not entitled to half of her wealth.
The saga continues.
