Sjava, real name Jabulani Radebe, isn’t just about dropping music; he’s making waves in the acting scene too. With his first taste of the spotlight in Zone 14 and Zonke over a decade ago, and a stint as Mandla Dlamini in Gugu no Andile, he’s no stranger to the screen.
Now, he’s bringing his talents to the brand-new daily drama, Queendom. Already causing a stir on social media with Mduduzi Mabaso’s killer look, Queendom is set in the majestic Khahlamba Kingdom and vibrant Tsakane township, where two worlds collide.
In this drama, Linda Mtoba rocks as the fearless Ntandokayise Mthobeni, while Hamilton Dlamini rules as the regal King Banzi Khahlamba. And let’s not forget the heartthrob played by Nhlanhla Kunene and the dashing Prince Mcebo Khahlamba, portrayed by Pallance Dladla. Oh, and Sjava? He’s taking on the role of Prince Mkhuseli Khahlamba, the king’s eldest son.
But that’s not all. This award-winning artist isn’t just acting; he’s setting the stage with the opening track, “Wena Wamanzi,” for Queendom.
“I’m honoured to be part of something that celebrates African culture,” says Sjava. “Acting’s been in my blood for years; it’s not just about the music.”
Get ready to groove to the beat and dive into the drama; Sjava’s bringing the best of both worlds to Queendom.
