Watch: Lerato Kganyago responds to a man claiming they have a child together

Unexpected drama is what seems to be currently on social media, as an unknown man from East London, Eastern Cape, has reached out to media personality Lerato Kganyago, claiming to be the father of her child.

The man says he is Siyabonga Kopele, and made his bold claims in a video that quickly viral on social media platforms. In the video, Kopele, surviving on the government’s R350 Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant, tearfully pleads for assistance in seeing his alleged child and accessing his claimed assets, including a house and a car. He directly addresses Kganyago, known for her DJ work and as a Metro FM presenter, demanding that she admits and gives solution to their situation. Not that he wants her back, nope. He made that clear.

“I need help from anyone. I know they know me. I know the media knows me. I’ve been on TV, and I want them to say they don’t know me and I want them to say it’s not my child… let’s prove it,” Kopele emotionally expressed.

Responding to the allegations, Kganyago took to social media to refute the claims, and said that she doesn’t know the gent and has zero children with him or anyone else. She reached out to her followers, urging anyone with information about Kopele to contact her, as she had been facing harassment due to his claims.

As the exchange continued online, Kopele persisted in his pleas, saying he and Kganyago had taken this to court before.

Before anyone knew it, a Tweep claiming to be Kopele’s brother reached out to Kganyago, and revealed that Kopele suffers from mental health issues, but they didn’t know how bad.

This is all happening just after Lerato Kganyago revealed that she had some serious fertility problems. Yikes.
