Reality TV Star Chicken is engaged on Season 2 of KwaNjomane

Chicken, the breakout star from the first season of KwaNjomane, is back and fiercer than ever in season 2. After bravely coming out to his family as gay in the first season, Chicken, whose real name is Sbonelo Mhlongo (23), is now living his truth and loving every moment of it.

In an exclusive interview with Daily Sun, the social media sensation opened up about his journey since coming out. “Honestly, I’ve never been in the closet,” Chicken revealed. “When I came out to my family, I didn’t know why I was doing it because it was obvious. But coming out on my father’s side of the family was difficult. They live a different life, and I knew it would be hard for them to understand me.”

Despite the challenges, Chicken found strength in the cameras filming his journey for KwaNjomane. “I feel like it was easier with cameras on. They made my coming out a bit easier than I had anticipated. I knew they wouldn’t just disown me while cameras were filming; they were going to have to speak to me,” he shared.

Since coming out, Chicken has found love and is now engaged, with plans for a wedding in the works. “On season 2, people can expect a new man in my life. I’m engaged now. Viewers can expect to see me go through my journey of being engaged,” he teased. “I’m in a happy relationship, I’m being treated like the king I am. Ever since I’ve been engaged, I’ve been happy. The drama that happens at home, I ignore it. I’m trying to focus on my happy life; I don’t want distractions.”

As for the wedding date, Chicken kept it coy, saying, “You’ll get to see more of that on season 2.” He also shared that he has overcome his struggles with self-acceptance from season 1. “I’ve accepted myself fully. I love who Chicken is, and I love who he is becoming,” he declared.

Get ready to see more of Chicken’s fabulous life in season 2 of KwaNjomane, where he continues to slay and live his truth.
