Breaking: BET Africa’s Queendom Cast Members Allegedly not paid for 2 months

The International TV Channel that is centred towards black culture, BET Africa is currently not in the best of terms with the cast and crew of their new show Queendom.

The channel is working in partnership with Clive Morris Productions to deliver the series, and a close source has revealed to Entertainment SA that the staff has not been paid for 2 months and the explanation that they are getting from the executive producer and boss is not making sense to them.

“BET and Clive Morris Productions are in a co-production for Queendom which is the highest rating show currently on BET Africa. Co-production means BET foots 50% of the deal and Clive Morris the other 50. Clive Morris is having a cash flow problem and this has caused us not to be paid for 2 months” – the source told ESA.

Queendom is a drama series on the BET channel, that features distinguished actors such as Sindi Dlathu, Dawn Thandeka King, Pallance Dladla, and Linda Mtoba. Reports have it that Morris said that the production is actively working to find funding to pay everyone and that the show has only been on air for 3 months, as he also does ask for some room to breathe and focus on finding funds as quickly as possible.

ESA is still trying to get in touch with the channel and the production to hear their side of the story.
