Family Feud Showdown: Who’s the GOAT Rapper? The Answers Will Surprise You!

In a recent episode of Family Feud, host Steve Harvey and contestants found themselves scratching their heads over the game show’s take on the greatest rapper of all time (GOAT). The episode, which aired on Tuesday, July 16, featured singer Meghan Trainor, her husband, actor Daryl Sabara, and vocalist Tori Kelly among the participants.

When Sabara confidently named J. Cole and his competitor Murillo shot back with Kendrick Lamar, both were met with a big red “X.” The audience was shocked, and the scoreboard remained empty for those answers, leaving Team Trainor and Team Tori ahead.

But the surprises didn’t stop there. Even the legendary Lil Wayne didn’t make the cut! Instead, rap icons like 2Pac, The Notorious B.I.G., and JAY-Z made the board. Harvey, ever the entertainer, couldn’t hold back his disbelief when JAY-Z was placed in the eighth spot. “Ah, y’all trippin’. We in Rhode Island again? Where we at?” he exclaimed, clearly baffled by the ranking.

As the game progressed, it became evident that the survey’s respondents had some unconventional opinions. Nas, another heavyweight in the rap game, was also left off the board. Harvey quipped, “I think you’re thinking as a hip-hop head. I don’t think that’s who answered these questions,” hinting that the answers might not reflect true hip-hop aficionados’ views.

To everyone’s surprise, Eminem landed in third place, while Snoop Dogg claimed the top spot, leaving Harvey astonished once again. Other names thrown into the mix included Big Z (a producer, not a rapper) and Drake, both of whom didn’t make the scoreboard.

As the game neared its end, Harvey humorously apologized to the hip-hop community before revealing the last three names. “Before we flip over these last three, I want to apologize to the entire hip-hop community. ‘JAY-Z’s last.’ What the world?” he said.

The final three rappers that rounded out the list were 50 Cent, LL Cool J—whom Harvey dubbed a “bad boy”—and Dr. Dre.

Family Feud’s rap-centric episodes have been a hit, with Megan Thee Stallion making a recent appearance as well.
