Amid recent controversy, Mama Joy Chauke has hit back by flaunting her recent trip to the Paris 2024 Olympics. She shared her departure to Paris on social media to support South African athletes at the Summer Olympics.
The renowned super fan recently drew attention after an X announcement by Minister of Arts, Sports, and Culture Geyton McKenzie.
“I have stopped all trips for super fans, we have athletes & artist who are struggling to raise money to attend sporting events and exhibitions, how do we justify paying for fans?
“We shall no longer be paying for these trips and will use that money where it’s needed the most,” announced McKenzie a couple of weeks ago
This sent social media into a frenzy, as many were already questioning who was financing super fan trips. Nonetheless, Mama Joy asserted that she would continue her travels until the Minister communicated with her directly.
Indeed, she stood on her word and jetted off for the Olympics in her bright South Africa branded regalia. She posted her flight ticket and outfit on X to announce her trip.
