Two years ago, actress and social media influencer Tebogo Thobejane made headlines by opening her first strip club, Club X. Though the venture was short-lived, with the club closing its doors just months later, Tebogo has returned to the adult entertainment scene with a bold new endeavour.
After relocating to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for a fresh start, the former Muvhango star is back in South Africa, ready to shake things up again. In an exclusive chat with ZiMoja, Tebogo revealed her latest project: C30, a new strip club in the heart of Sandton. “I’m curating at the club. It’s a strip club called C30 in Sandton,” she shared.
An insider disclosed that Tebogo isn’t just a curator; she’s a co-owner of C30, bringing her unique vision and flair to the establishment. When she launched Club X, Tebogo spoke to TshisaLIVE about her mission to empower women through her business. “Everyone has to have a retirement plan,” she said back then. “We’re trying to push women in business… I’ve always been about sexiness and women empowerment. Dancing is a profession all over the world, people are doing it and there aren’t any jobs in SA, so what must girls do?”
Her journey hasn’t been without its challenges. Last year, Tebogo was involved in a terrifying shooting incident. While traveling home from Saints Champagne Lounge in Sandton, Johannesburg, her vehicle was targeted, leaving her and her companions shaken but unharmed. This traumatic event prompted her move to Dubai, as she grappled with the fear that lingered after the attack.
Despite the fear that still lingers, Tebogo is determined to move forward. “Of course I am scared, who wouldn’t be? I missed five bullets,” she admitted to ZiMoja. “It takes a lot of strength and courage to try again but the guy’s currently in jail.”
