    ‘Elite’ Star, Julián Ortega Passes Away at 41

    In a heart-breaking turn of events, Julián Ortega, the talented actor known for his memorable roles in the Spanish Netflix drama ‘Elite’ and films like ‘Sicario,’ has passed away at the age of 41.

    The actor tragically lost his life to a heart attack recently while enjoying a day at Playa de Zahora beach in Cádiz, Spain.

    According to reports from The Olive Press, Ortega collapsed suddenly on the shore on Sunday, sending shockwaves through those nearby. Despite the best efforts of paramedics, who valiantly attempted to revive him for over 30 minutes, Ortega was pronounced dead at the scene.

    The news of his passing was confirmed by the Spanish Union of Actors and Actresses, who honoured him with a heartfelt obituary. The statement read: “Our deepest condolences to his family and friends from the Union of Actors and Actresses. Rest in peace.”

    Julián Ortega’s star shone brightly in the world of entertainment, particularly for his role as the manager of La Cabana restaurant in the first season of ‘Elite.’ His portrayal in the show, which centered around the dark secrets and social divides of a prestigious school, left a lasting impression on viewers. Although Ortega appeared in only six episodes, his impact was profound. The series, which began in 2018, ran for eight successful seasons, captivating audiences worldwide until its conclusion in July.

    Beyond ‘Elite,’ Ortega’s work included appearances in other popular Spanish television shows like ‘Cable Girls,’ ‘Caronte,’ and ‘Velvet and The Countryside.’ His most recent role was in the Spanish soap opera ‘4 Estrellas,’ where he continued to showcase his versatility and passion for acting.
