Mia Le Roux, a marketing manager, model, and part-time BCom marketing student, hails from Sasolburg in the Free State but grew up in Oudtshoorn alongside her brother, Schalk le Roux, under the care of their parents, Liesel and Schalk le Roux. Now 28 years old, Mia has overcome significant challenges, having been diagnosed with profound hearing loss at the age of one. She currently resides in Rosebank, Cape Town, where she continues to inspire with her resilience and grace.

As the evening reached its climax, Miss South Africa 2023, Natasha Joubert, passed the crown to Mia, marking her official ascent to the prestigious title of Miss South Africa 2024. Along with the crown, Mia received an impressive R1 million in cash and a brand-new Mercedes-Benz CLE Coupe, setting the stage for an exciting year ahead.

But that’s not all—Mia’s victory also comes with an incredible sponsorship package, including access to a luxurious serviced apartment and exclusive House of Bonang Netcare products throughout her reign.

Nompumelelo Maduna, 29, from Rockville, Soweto, was named the first runner-up, while Onalenna Constantin, 26, from Potchefstroom in North West, took the second runner-up spot, both adding their own flair to the night’s celebrations.

The event was hosted by the ever-charismatic Bonang Matheba, who kept the audience entertained with her infectious energy and undeniable star power. The show, broadcast on S3 (SABC 3), showcased a glittering lineup of judges, including actress and TV personality Leandie Du Randt, award-winning TV and radio star Lerato “LKG” Kganyago, Miss SA 2014 and Miss World 2014 Jolene Strauss, Miss SA 2000 Jo-Ann Strauss, and the multi-talented Thembi Seete.

The evening also featured captivating performances by South Africa’s dance and amapiano sensation Kamo Mphela, the soulful music star Zoë Modiga, the multi-talented award-winning artist Lebo Mashile, and Jesse Clegg, a familiar face from the Miss SA stage who previously performed in 2019.
