Social media has been set ablaze after a TV actress and singer accused controversial music executive and content creator, Nota Baloyi, of rape. The drama started when reports came up that the actress filed a rape case against him at the Douglasdale police station, shaking the internet and bringing Nota into up into the spotlight once again.

According to sources, the alleged incident took place earlier this month at Nota’s home, with rumours pointing to September 4 as the date of the encounter. As speculation spread like wildfire, Baloyi broke his silence, addressing the serious allegations that had rapidly made him a top-trending topic.

In an interview with the media, Nota recounted how he first learned about the case: “I got to know about this matter on Thursday when the police called me. They told me that there is a case that has been opened against me.” He added that after consulting his lawyer, he planned to submit his own statement. Furthermore, Baloyi revealed that he had already filed a protection order against the actress, claiming she had threatened him in the past.

Their relationship goes all the way back to 2017 when the actress initially contacted Nota looking for details of a famous hip-hop artist. What started as an innocent connection reportedly blossomed into flirtation and eventually led to house visits.

Nota did say that they shared a bed, but he insisted it was consensual: “We were in a relationship, and she demanded that we go public about it. She also said she wanted to meet my parents.” He emphasized that he did not force himself on her, as has been alleged. Notably, Nota claimed that his 23-year-old nephew was present at his home on the night in question.

To further stir the pot, leaked court documents have surfaced on X (formerly known as Twitter), thanks to a popular user, @mirandasebo. Alongside the leaks, Nota’s protection order has also gone public, intensifying the ongoing debate online.

With voice notes and private messages now making the rounds, social media users haven’t held back in expressing their thoughts. One concerned user commented, “I hope gents are taking notes here. It’s sickening how some women can go so far to destroy a man’s life when things don’t go their way…” Another added fuel to the fire, questioning, “So if he opened the protection order after the lady laid charges against him, does that mean the allegations are false?”
