Denzel Washington has Marvel fans buzzing after a casual yet monumental hint during an interview on Australia’s Today show. The ‘Gladiator 2’ star dropped the a tidbit that acclaimed director Ryan Coogler is crafting a role for him in the next ‘Black Panther’ film.
“After that, Ryan Coogler is writing a part for me in the next ‘Black Panther’,” Washington shared, as if it were just another day at the office.
Naturally, Marvel fans went into a frenzy at the news. Marvel Studios has yet to confirm a third ‘Black Panther’ instalment, but Washington’s reveal all but confirms Coogler is ready to bring a new chapter to the Wakandan saga.

When asked about Shuri’s future, Wright shared her excitement, saying, “I would like to continue with Shuri. She’s one of my favorite characters. Such a blessing, honestly.” She went on to tease fans, noting that the MCU has “a lot coming up,” hinting at further adventures for the Wakandan royal.
