Mark your calendars, this musical-comedy extravaganza premieres on 6 December, and it’s brimming with yuletide joy, star power, and a sprinkle of South African magic.

Tyla will join a guest lineup that includes none other than country music queen Shania Twain, sultry songstress Kali Uchis, and pop maven Chappell Roan. According to ‘Pitchfork’, the special promises a whimsical twist on the traditional holiday variety show, infused with Carpenter’s quirky charm.

There will also be live performances of Sabrina’s hits from her ‘Fruitcake’ EP, classic holiday songs with a fresh twist, and unforgettable duets with her superstar guests. The trailer even hints at a Dickens-inspired flair, promising a visual and musical feast for the senses.

Tyla’s international fans couldn’t be more excited, taking to social media to gush over the announcement. One enthusiastic supporter proclaimed, “This is how you kick off Christmas in style!”

For her South African supporters, this is a moment of immense pride. Fresh off her viral success with ‘Water’, which took TikTok by storm and charted worldwide, Tyla’s involvement in ‘A Nonsense Christmas’ cements her place as a rising global sensation.

Alongside the stellar musical guests, fans can look forward to hilarious appearances from Quinta Brunson as the ‘Ghost of Christmas Present’ and ‘Stranger Things’ star Sean Astin as none other than Santa Claus himself.

Sabrina Carpenter, who also serves as the special’s executive producer, described the project as “a dream come true.” In an interview with Variety, she shared, “The holidays are magical, and I wanted to create something that feels joyful and personal.”

The production, directed by Sam Wrench (of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour fame), promises high-quality visuals and unforgettable performances.
