Ashanti and Nelly are truly living their best lives together, looking more in love than ever! The power couple celebrated in style at Ashanti’s spectacular, gold-themed 50th birthday bash, held at Tao in Las Vegas. The glamorous party brought together friends, family, and celebrity guests, including Anderson Paak, Kandi Burruss, and a surprise appearance from comedian Kevin Hart.

Speaking with Entertainment Tonight’s Deidre Behar Wellman, Nelly was in a playful mood, joking about turning 50. “It feels like turning 49,” he laughed, adding that life with Ashanti makes every year feel amazing. Meanwhile, Ashanti was full of love and admiration, calling Nelly her “soulmate.” “It’s priceless, honestly, just to have my soulmate, my person, my best friend, my protector,” she gushed. “The universe doesn’t make mistakes.”

In a touching clip on ET’s Instagram, Ashanti shared how Nelly has brought new perspectives into her life. “I don’t tell him all the time, but I’ve learned a lot about being grateful, graceful, and giving people grace,” the 44-year-old singer confided. She added that he’s taught her to stay “open-minded, level-headed, and not too emotional”—a sweet tribute to their balanced relationship.

Nelly, famous for hits like “Hot In Herre”, couldn’t stop praising Ashanti’s caring and generous spirit. “She’s a great person, a great mother,” he said. “When you have someone like that beside you, it’s like, ‘Yeah, that’s it.’”

The couple rekindled their romance last September, a decade after their initial split, and quietly tied the knot three months later. They welcomed their first child together, a son named Kareem, in July. Parenthood, however, has brought its own set of humorous challenges. Nelly joked about the “perils” of diaper duty, laughing, “I’ve been peed on so much! I can’t wait to show him pictures and videos one day, like, ‘Look at what your mom was doing to you!’ She treats him like a Build-A-Bear.”
