TV host and beauty influencer Ayanda Thabethe is once again the talk of the town, and this time, it’s for a love story straight out of a fairy tale. The star said “yes” to her long-time partner, businessman Peter Matsimbe, with whom she shares two adorable sons.

Ayanda shared the exciting news on Instagram with a heart-melting proposal video that quickly went viral. The clip featured a romantic setup that could rival any Hollywood romance: an aisle adorned with white flower petals led to glowing LED lights spelling out, “Will you marry me?” Fans were left swooning, and the comment section exploded with love and congratulations.

While Ayanda and Peter’s romance is now in the spotlight for all the right reasons, the couple has had their share of public scrutiny. In 2022, rumours surfaced alleging that Peter was unfaithful and still married. The couple swiftly shut down the speculation with a joint statement, firmly denying the allegations: “The rumour that Ayanda Thabethe is in a relationship with a married man is not true, and we have not been provided with evidence proving otherwise. PM is not in any marriage or union recognised by the law.”
Through it all, Ayanda and Peter have continued to grow their family and love story.
