Dynamic Cape Town brother-duo Keenan x Keanu are back with their latest single, The Way, featuring the electrifying Kinetic Torch. This release marks another step in their evolution as artists. Inspired by their experiences of youth and the emotions sparked during nights out, The Way brings an authentic vibe that listeners can feel. “Certain things are better expressed through a song,” says Keanu. “The inspiration for The Way came from being young and outgoing, and we wanted to capture that energy and emotion.” The brothers credit Kinetic Torch with adding the final touch that made the track complete. “We had the song done, but something felt missing,” Keenan shares. “Kinetic Torch made the beat and brought his Kasi flavor to the track. His verse tied everything together perfectly.”

Blurring the lines between genres, Keenan x Keanu continue to build their unique identity in the music world. “We’re not confined to a specific genre; we make music based on how it feels,” says Keanu. “This track is part of our journey in blending sounds to create something truly original.”

Looking ahead, the duo is gearing up for a massive 2025. “It’s going to be the year people really get to know Keenan x Keanu,” Keanu promises. “We’ve got projects, EPs, collaborations, and hopefully an album in the pipeline. The last six months have been a learning experience, and there’s so much more to come.”

With their roots in Cape Town’s Ravensmead and a musical upbringing influenced by the likes of Michael Jackson and Usher, Keenan and Keanu bring a wealth of experience and passion to their craft.
