Gal Gadot Opens Up About Her Blood Clot During Pregnancy

In an emotional and heartfelt revelation, Gal Gadot, the beloved star of Wonder Woman, has shared a deeply personal story about a terrifying health crisis she faced while pregnant with her fourth child. Taking to Instagram, the actress recounted the ordeal alongside a touching photo of herself holding her new-born daughter, Ori, in a hospital bed.

It was February, the eighth month of her pregnancy, when Gadot experienced what she described as “excruciating headaches.” These debilitating symptoms left her bedridden and prompted her to undergo an MRI, which unveiled the shocking truth: a brain blood clot.

“In one moment, my family and I were faced with how fragile life can be,” Gadot wrote. “It was a stark reminder of how quickly everything can change, and in the midst of a difficult year, all I wanted was to hold on and live.”

Faced with the gravity of her condition, Gadot underwent emergency surgery. Remarkably, amid the uncertainty and fear, her daughter Ori entered the world, bringing a beacon of hope and resilience to the family. “Her name, meaning ‘my light,’ wasn’t chosen by chance,” Gadot explained. “Before the surgery, I told Jaron that when our daughter arrived, she would be the light waiting for me at the end of this tunnel.”

Thankfully, Gadot has made a full recovery and expressed her gratitude for the support she received during the ordeal. She decided to share her story publicly to raise awareness about health issues that can arise during pregnancy and to inspire others who may face similar challenges. “It’s not easy to open up about such personal experiences, but I want to use my platform to support and encourage those who might be going through something similar,” she wrote.

Gadot and her husband, Jason Varsano, are now proud parents to four daughters: Alma (born in 2011), Maya (2017), Daniella (2021), and Ori (2024). Ori’s arrival amidst such a tumultuous time has only deepened Gadot’s appreciation for life’s precious moments and the strength of her family bond.
