Lucasfilm’s Andor is back — and the critically acclaimed final season is already making waves. Following the April 23 premiere of episodes 1-3 on Disney+, the next block of episodes (4-6) debuted today, continuing the story of Cassian Andor’s journey toward rebellion.
To mark the release, Disney+ unveiled a second wave of clips and images from the new season, giving fans a glimpse of the intensity, stakes, and character dynamics ahead. The newly released clips — titled This One’s for You, I Can Handle More, and You’re the Only Reason I’m Here — tease some of the emotional and action-packed moments in the latest episodes.
Also streaming now is Andor Season 2 Declassified: Time, the latest installment in the weekly behind-the-scenes series that dives into each trio of episodes. Available in the Extras section on Disney+ and on YouTube, the Declassified specials feature cast and crew commentary, deep dives into the narrative, and insight into the production. This week’s episode explores the one-year time jump and the escalating tension as war looms closer in the galaxy.
Season 2 of Andor sets the stage for the eventual events of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, showing how Cassian Andor transforms from a disillusioned outsider into a vital operative within the Rebel Alliance. As the stakes rise, so do the betrayals, sacrifices, and moral conflicts — all within a galaxy gripped by political unrest and the looming presence of the Empire.
The cast features returning stars Diego Luna, Stellan Skarsgård, Genevieve O’Reilly, Denise Gough, Kyle Soller, Adria Arjona, Alan Tudyk, Faye Marsay, Varada Sethu, and Elizabeth Dulau, along with Ben Mendelsohn and Forest Whitaker.
Created by Tony Gilroy, who also serves as showrunner and executive producer, the final season is structured into four narrative arcs of three episodes each, with new arcs dropping weekly. Episodes 1–6 were directed by Ariel Kleiman, while Janus Metz and Alonso Ruizpalacios will helm the remaining six episodes. Writers include Tony Gilroy (Eps. 1–3), Beau Willimon (Eps. 4–6), Dan Gilroy (Eps. 7–9), and Tom Bissell (Eps. 10–12).
The final season of Andor is now streaming exclusively on Disney+, continuing each week through its 12-episode run.
