Anant Singh can pay tribute to Johnny Clegg: We have misplaced a perfect son of Africa

Award-winning SA film producer Anant Singh has added his voice to the outpouring of tributes that have dominated conversations since news of veteran singer Johnny Clegg’s dying used to be confirmed on Tuesday. Clegg died surrounded by family members at his family house in Johannesburg on Tuesday afternoon.

The Impi hitmaker used to be recognized with pancreatic cancer in 2015. “Despite figuring out that he used to be scuffling with pancreatic most cancers, the scoop of his passing continues to be a shock.

Johnny was an excellent pal and I Was in huge admiration of his paintings. He used to be a trailblazer who created a legacy that shall be with us forever.”

Singh stated Clegg’s love for track and his fans were once demonstrated when he launched into The Final Journey World Tour, regardless of having cancer.

“Whilst being each a South African and world musical icon, Johnny remained humble and true to his African roots. We have lost a great son of Africa. “Johnny’s passing is a big loss not to just the tune business, but to our whole continent. We will miss him, but he will all the time be with us through his tune.”

Singh went on to offer his condolences to Clegg’s spouse, Jenny, and sons Jesse and Jaron.
