For generations of South Africans, the familiar Ingram’s tub has been a fixture in bathroom cabinets and on dressing tables. But after nearly 90 years, one of the country’s most recognisable skincare products has undergone a significant transformation.
For the first time since 1937, Ingram’s has redesigned the shape of its iconic tub. The updated packaging also uses 11% less plastic than its predecessor, marking a new chapter for the heritage skincare brand. And the change goes beyond appearances, with improved formulations designed to deliver enhanced, long-lasting hydration.
The refreshed range was showcased at Clicks Beauty Playground, held at Gallagher Estate in Midrand on 17 and 18 October, where Ingram’s introduced visitors to its new look and product offering through an interactive skincare experience.
A new look, a hands-on hydration experience
At the centre of the activation was the Ingram’s Calming Oasis, a botanical-inspired space designed to help visitors explore their skin’s hydration needs. The experience brought together skin hydration assessments, personalised product recommendations, a hydration bar, skincare-themed games, sampling and photo opportunities.
Visitors could also discover the brand’s broader skincare offering, including Ingram’s Sensitive, Tissue Oil, Hemp and Men ranges, alongside its relaunched Moisture Plus products.
Hydration beyond the packaging
The reformulated Ingram’s Moisture Plus range features Triple Hydration technology, designed to deliver three times more moisture and over 72 hours of hydration. Its improved formulations are faster absorbing and non-greasy, combining long-lasting moisturisation with an easy-to-use everyday skincare routine.
What's your hot take on this story?
The range includes Hydrating Aloe Vera, Rich Moisture, Nourishing Shea Butter and Moisturising Coconut Oil, offering consumers a choice of moisturisers to suit their preferences.
Locking in moisture, and staying focused
The Clicks Beauty Playground experience also brought Ingram’s #LockIn campaign to life. Drawing on the brand’s place in South African households since 1937, the campaign connects the everyday habit of locking in skin moisture with the consistency needed to work towards personal goals.
For Ingram’s, the refreshed look and improved formulations represent a way of building on the trust of generations while connecting with consumers discovering the brand today.
