Booth founder Abolore Jaji has issued a lengthy personal statement addressing what he describes as one of the most painful chapters in his business's history, allegations of financial misconduct and theft involving a former manager he once trusted and mentored.

A Decade Of Building, Now Under Strain

In the statement, Jaji reflected on the more than ten years he has spent building Booth Hospitality Group alongside his team, describing the business as built on years of sacrifice and relationships. He said dealing with the allegations against the former manager, someone he had supported, given opportunities to, and even provided with the use of a brand-new BMW, has been deeply distressing.

Jaji also addressed what he called false and damaging information circulated through WhatsApp broadcasts and gossip pages, as well as allegations that the company's client database had been misused to divert customers to competitors. Among the claims brought to his attention, he said, was a statement suggesting "The End of Jaji Era," along with remarks implying the former manager would eventually come to own the business.

Allegations Of Impersonation

In a particularly serious claim, Jaji said his name had been used without his authorisation to obtain the private home addresses of influencers, under the pretence that he wanted to send them flowers, followed by personal visits and romantic approaches. He was firm in stating that he never authorised anyone to use his name for this purpose, and encouraged anyone who received such a request to verify it directly through his official account.

Business And Personal Toll

Jaji said the fallout from this period has affected the business both financially and reputationally, citing financial losses, pressure on cash flow, and strained client relationships. On a personal level, he described the emotional toll as considerable, saying it has been painful to watch the impact on his team and the wider "Booth family."

Former Manager Arrested

Jaji confirmed that the former manager at the centre of the allegations has since been arrested in connection with the case involving alleged financial misconduct and theft. He said he is cooperating fully with authorities and providing supporting information, while being careful to note that "an arrest is not a conviction," and that the allegations remain subject to investigation and the ordinary legal process.

Moving Forward

Addressing clients, artists, hosts, suppliers, and team members who may have had strained or unpleasant experiences during this period, Jaji said the company is working to repair those relationships and restore trust, inviting anyone affected to reach out directly.

He also asked that anyone who received broadcasts, messages, or requests made in his name during this period preserve the originals and contact him privately, while urging that the privacy of everyone involved be respected.

Closing the statement, Jaji credited his faith for helping him through the ordeal, thanking those who have stood by him, and reaffirmed his commitment to accountability, strengthening the business's operations, and rebuilding trust with the community that has supported Booth Hospitality Group over the years.
