GYAKIE RETURNS WITH NEW SINGLE “YOUR BODY (CRAZY)” AS SHE ENTERS A NEW ERA WITH WARNER MUSIC

Ghanaian Afro-fusion and Afro-R&B star Gyakie returns with her highly anticipated new single, “Your Body (Crazy),” marking the beginning of an ambitious new chapter in her career and her debut release under Warner Music.

“Your Body (Crazy)” sees Gyakie lean into the magnetic energy of romantic attraction, pairing an infectious Afro-fusion rhythm with her signature sultry vocals and emotionally expressive delivery. Produced by Lektra, the track explores the intensity of physical chemistry and infatuation, with Gyakie moving effortlessly between English and Twi to tell a universally relatable story of being completely captivated by someone.

The new single arrives at a pivotal moment for Gyakie, following a period of significant artistic and international growth. Since emerging in 2019, the Ghanaian singer and songwriter has established herself as one of Africa’s most distinctive contemporary female voices, building a cross-border audience through her blend of Afrobeats, R&B and Ghanaian highlife.

Her breakthrough single “Forever” introduced Gyakie to a global audience, with the Omah Lay remix further accelerating the record’s success across Ghana, Nigeria and beyond. Since then, she has released projects including SEED and MY DIARY, collaborated with artists such as Davido, Omah Lay, 6LACK, Headie One, Kojey Radical, Shatta Wale and Omar Sterling, and continued to expand her international footprint.

In 2025, Gyakie released her debut album, AFTER MIDNIGHT, a 17-track project exploring love, vulnerability, self-discovery and healing. The album received international editorial recognition from Billboard and Rolling Stone Africa, while “Sankofa” was named No. 17 on Rolling Stone Global’s 45 Best Afropop Songs of 2025. Gyakie was also named to the Forbes Africa 30 Under 30, selected as an Apple Music Africa Rising artist and became Spotify EQUAL Africa Ambassador in 2025. She received multiple Grammy considerations for “Sankofa,” “DAMN U” and AFTER MIDNIGHT.

Her growing global profile has been reflected in her extensive live performance history, spanning Ghana, Nigeria, the UK and wider Africa. Highlights include a headline performance at Jazz Cafe London, an AFTER MIDNIGHT album experience in Lagos and an appearance at Ghana Party in the Park in London.

Today, Gyakie’s catalogue has surpassed 300 million YouTube views, 100 million Apple Music streams, 100 million Boomplay streams and 78 million Audiomack streams, underscoring the scale of the audience she has built across Africa and international markets.
