Here is what Zee Nxumalo did with the R40 000 she received from Shebeshxt

South African singer Zee Nxumalo has revealed what she did with the R40 000 she received from Lekompo rapper Shebeshxt.

During an interview with SlikourOnLife, Zee explained that she used the unexpected money to buy her grandmother a fridge; after remembering that she had once mentioned wanting one.

Zee admitted that she did not initially have a specific plan for the money as she never knows what to do with money she receives from people. However, when she remembered her grandmother’s wish, she decided to put the cash towards something meaningful for her family.

The revelation comes after Shebeshxt made headlines in September 2025 when he sent Zee R40 000 after losing a language game during an appearance on The Freshmen Podcast. The pair had been competing in a challenge that involved translating English sentences into their respective languages, and the rapper had to pay up after losing.

The moment went viral, with Shebeshxt reportedly brushing off the amount while Zee reacted with disbelief after the money landed in her account.

Now, Zee has finally revealed where the money went. Instead of splurging on herself, she chose to fulfill her grandmother’s wish.
