The streets of social media have been buzzing with claims that some of Mzansi’s favourite DJs and celebrities are skipping the grind and hopping on the Ozempic train to shed weight—without actually putting in the work.

Among those in the firing line? The Major League DJs, twins Banele and Bandile, who’ve recently unveiled noticeably slimmer physiques. While the internet accused them (and a few others) of using weight-loss injections while pretending to train, the duo hit back—without saying much at all.

Instead, they dropped a video showing one of them jogging down the road, flanked by a convoy of luxury Mercedes-Benz cars. The caption? Bold and a bit cheeky:

“And to the rest you… the non-believers… the underachievers… the tweet and deleters… Let’s goooo.”

Subtle? Not exactly. Stylish? Definitely.

The twins have also been posting regular gym selfies and even launched the Phat Boi Run Club, encouraging others to embrace fitness and consistency. The message seems clear: no needles, just hustle.

Reactions have been mixed. Some fans praised their efforts and fashion-forward flex, while others rolled their eyes, accusing them of flaunting wealth more than work ethic.

But the Major League brothers aren’t the only ones sparking fitness chatter.

DJ Shimza has also had tongues wagging, showing off a much leaner, healthier look that hasn’t gone unnoticed. His timeline has turned into a highlight reel of compliments, with fans and fellow celebs alike giving him props.

“The transformation, you put in work! You look great, fam!” — Nadia Nakai

“Your weight loss is amazing, ntwana.” — Lungephi Jack

“Looking good. Health is wealth indeed.” — Faith Fundi

Whether it’s through early morning jogs or consistent training, these DJs are clearly making moves. Are they using shortcuts or simply living in a calorie deficit with a side of gym selfies and German engineering?
