South African media personality Minnie Dlamini has opened up about the financial side of her lavish wedding to her estranged husband Quinton Jones, revealing that she personally paid approximately R1.5 million towards the wedding.
Speaking to Thando Thabethe on 947’s Drive Show, Minnie reflected on their highly publicised 2017 wedding and made it clear that the amount came out of her own pocket, excluding sponsorships.
When asked about the financial arrangements behind the wedding, Minnie was pressed on whether Quinton had contributed towards the costs. Her response? “Next question".
Minnie and Quinton celebrated their union in two ceremonies in 2017. Their traditional wedding took place in July, followed by their white wedding in September at Lourensford Wine Estate in Somerset West, Western Cape. Their wedding journey was also documented in the three-part television special Minnie Dlamini: Becoming Mrs Jones.
