The new store is part of Represent's expansion into the South African market. Founded in 2011 by brothers George and Michael Heaton, the British luxury streetwear brand has built an international following for its premium clothing, contemporary designs and performance wear.
Represent first made its African retail debut in August 2026 with a flagship store at Cape Town's V&A Waterfront. The Sandton City location marks the next step in bringing the brand closer to South African fashion enthusiasts.
Shimza has joined the venture as a business partner alongside entrepreneur Victor Barbosa and his business partner Byron Ryan, who are leading the brand's African expansion. His involvement goes beyond simply putting his face behind a fashion label, as he becomes part of the business itself.
The brand is also planning to introduce an official South African online store towards the end of 2026, giving shoppers across the country easier access to its collections without having to order directly from overseas.

For Shimza, this is another exciting business move that shows how South African entertainers are increasingly stepping into entrepreneurship and creating opportunities beyond their primary industries.
With Represent now expanding into Johannesburg, local streetwear lovers have another international fashion destination to look forward to.
