Travis Scott has added another layer to his growing sneaker legacy, and this time it has nothing to do with a public drop. The rapper, musician, and now certified movie cameo star has gifted the entire cast and crew of Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey a custom pair of Nike ACG Mocs and Cactus Jack fans hoping to cop a pair are out of luck. These are strictly friends and family.
Scott’s involvement with The Odyssey goes far beyond footwear. He plays a blind bard and storyteller in the film, using song to help narrate Odysseus’s journey, and he also contributed an original track to the soundtrack alongside James Blake and composer Ludwig Göransson. When Nolan brought him onto the project, Scott apparently felt compelled to return the favour in his own way, by turning to his longtime partner Nike to design something special for the people who brought the film to life.
Scott unveiled the cast-exclusive shoe during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Fallon pulled a pair from behind his desk mid-interview clearly impressed by the craftsmanship, while Scott discussed his work on the film. The moment quickly made its way across social media with fans zooming in on the stitching, the stud detailing, and comparing the colour way to Scott’s past Nike releases.
What's your hot take on this story?
Custom cast-exclusive sneakers are not a new concept for Nike, with special pairs previously made for the casts of shows like Seinfeld and Friends. What makes this one stand out is the direct tie to both a blockbuster film and one of sneaker culture’s most influential figures. But like those before it, this pair exists purely as a friends and family exclusive. Unless you were on set during filming or happen to be Jimmy Fallon, this is one Travis Scott sneaker you simply will not be able to buy.
It is also part of a bigger year for Scott’s Nike partnership, with a Travis Scott Air Force 1 reportedly planned for Fall 2026 and a reverse-Swoosh version of the Nike Zoom Vapor 12 HC expected around the US Open. For now though, the Odyssey cast gift remains one of the more exclusive and most talked about sneaker moments of the year.
