From recreating Chanel looks on the streets of Lagos to walking the brand's actual runway in Paris, Rachel Ojuromi's rise is the definition of a full-circle moment, and she finally got her shot.
From Lagos Streets To Global Runways
Known online as @giverachelashot, the 22-year-old Nigerian model and creative director built her following by turning the streets of Lagos into her own personal runway. Working alongside stylist and designer Debby Fasingha, Ojuromi recreated luxury fashion looks using thrifted pieces and whatever her city had to offer, refusing to let limited resources stand in the way of her creativity.
Her boldest move yet was recreating looks from Chanel's Métiers d'Art collection by creative director Matthieu Blazy a video that caught fire online. Blazy himself even commented on the post with a single word: "Everything".
