Megan Thee Stallion is keeping the mic warm. With her new album on the way, the Houston rapper has turned her alter ego Tina Snow into a weekly ritual: a freestyle every Tuesday, and fans are paying attention.
The run started on September with "Tina Tuesday Freestyle," which has Megan rapping over a sample of Mike Jones' Houston classic "Still Tippin'." It was her first new material since she featured on the FIFA World Cup 2026 album with Andrea Bocelli, David Guetta and Ejae on "DNA (More Than a Game)."
A week later she followed up with "Is You Cool?", rapping in a blizzard, according to Billboard. Billboard also noted that, while Megan hasn't released a single this year, the freestyle series could be a sign her album is close.
The freestyles are setting the stage for her forthcoming album, MEGAN ACT III: HOUSE OF TINA. Megan has said the project finds her experimenting with her voice and trying sounds outside her comfort zone.
What's your hot take on this story?
The freestyle comes just days after she achieved what she has called a lifelong dream: walking in the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show as an angel, where she also performed.
A weekly freestyle is a smart way to keep momentum between releases, and each one gives fans something to react to. For Megan, it's also a reminder of where Tina Snow started, in freestyle culture, and that she's still the one most likely to use a beat as a launchpad.
