It is reported that Babes Wodumo charges up to R100 000 for a gig during the festive season, the news was confirmed by the singers management company who said, indeed, she does charge R100K for a gig during the festive season.
Many fans however feel that this amount is way too excessive, especially since her last performance at the Buyelekahaya Festival, in the Eastern Cape, which was caught on video showing her lacklustre performance.
The organizers of the show confirmed that she had charged them a R100k for her appearance on the 18 December, plus they took care of her travel costs and accommodation etc. and because her management company said the artist had received many requests over this period they had already paid a 75% (R75 000) deposit to secure her for the day, only for her to deliver a disappointing performance.
According to the Daily Sun, The Wololo hitmaker blamed her underwhelming performance on the "horrible treatment" she received backstage from festival organiser, Nomahlubi Mazwai.
Buyel'Ekhaya Festival management released an official statement on Facebook saying that they reject the allegations made by Babes and her management team.

We at Entertainment_SA don’t know much when it comes to performances, but overbooking and not resting will only lead to a fatigued and tired artist.
