As the rest of us were trying our best to keep warm from the weekend’s sudden cold front, Durbanites had a whale of a time, as they hosted The Youth Hip Hop Festival which hit the city on Saturday, 11 June at Moses Mabhida Stadium, People’s Park East. In attendance were all of Mzansi’s hottest artists right now, from AKA (with his bae Bonang Matheba in tow) and Cassper Nyovest.
So much fun did Cassper have that he even decided to jump in to the crowd and crowd surf – something which he says he has never done before. However, unfortunately while doing this he lost a valuable piece of jewelry, the key to the city, which was on a chain that was around his neck.
In order to try get it back, Cassper has posted on social media, (Instagram) that if any of his fans who were present at the festival, have found the piece to please return it to him for a reward of a cool R50 000.
After he went onto post the message, other people, who believe that they can get a lot more money from selling it elsewhere started an alternative hashtag #dontdoit#giveitbacktoCassper. We wonder if he will ever get to be reunited with his chain.
