DBN Gogo’s new video is a tribute to Mpura

Amapiano artist DBN Gogo’s new video ‘Khuza Gogo’ is a tribute to her late friend Mpura.

Mpura was involved in a head-on-collision in August which also claimed the lives of 4 other Amapiano artists. The 5 youngsters were on their way to a performance in Rustenberg when they met with the fatal crash.

Since their deaths many South African artists have paid tribute to the late artists, including Lady Du.

Lady Du honoured Sakhile ‘Killer Kau’ Hlatshway and Mongezi ‘Mpura’ Stuurman with a tattoo. Before his passing, the 26-year old collaborated with DBN Gogo on Khuza Gogo.

The jam features a string of other SA artists, MasterBlaq, Blaqnick, Ama Avenger and M.J. DBN Gogo’s new video will feature shots of fans wearing black.

She asked fans to join her by wearing black and pitch up at the Edenvale Sports Club where she was shooting scenes for the video.

Fans turned up in their numbers and Mpura’s little brother Sam was amongst the crowd.

DBN Gogo has had a good year so far having featured on a Spotify billboard in Times Square. She has also featured in a UK Amapiano tour in September.

The artist hasn’t shared when the music video is expected to drop.
