A big congratulations to South African-born UK-based musician Toya Delazy and her wife – the couple welcomes their first child together.

Gushing about the new member of their family, Toya wrote: “My wife just gave birth to the most beautiful baby girl, both mom & baby are doing well. I have a family,” she tweeted.

Toya Delazy announced in February this year that she and her wife were pregnant with their first child.

Sharing the good news on social media, the musician asked that the universe guides them through the journey. “And just like that…Guide us universe, as we walk into this next chapter of our lives. Thank you for choosing us to bring forth this beautiful life force – We know it’s an incredible gift and miracle.”

She also shared that going through this journey with her partner is one of the most incredible experiences, “I couldn’t have chosen a better soul to build umuzi kamama.. Here’s to the part called Motherhood. LIVUMILE. We’re pregnant, I’m gonna be a MOMMY,” posted the musician.
