Chris Brown’s recent stint in a UK jail took an unexpected emotional turn when he penned a heartfelt note to a fellow inmate before posting a $6.7 million bail. The R&B star had been facing grievous bodily harm charges linked to the 2023 nightclub incident, and initially, a judge denied him bail.
Despite concerns about being targeted because of his fame and wealth, Brown was reportedly looked after by other inmates. A source told The Sun, “They know he’s famous and American, so they weren’t sure how things worked here, but they looked after him instead.”
Though confined to basic meals and limited comforts, Brown’s presence behind bars was far from unnoticed. Inmates frequently called out to him, asking him to sing. “When it was lock-up time, some of them were shouting, ‘Sing us a song, Chris!’” the source shared.
Before posting bail on May 21, Brown took a moment to thank an inmate named Dave, who had been particularly supportive during his time in jail.
He wrote, “To Dave, Thank you my brother, I appreciate everything you’ve done for me while I’ve been banged up. Keep being a good person. God sees all and he sees your heart. You’ll be home soon my bro. Cheers!!”
