It was such an exciting and special moment when I received an invite from Diesel SA. 

I had already anticipated the event to be as gripping as their trends and fashion sense. Being fun, unique and daring all on one package is that one thing I knew about the diesel culture. These are the types of dimensions which one can express themselves in their lifestyles.

When I arrived at the event, the vibe there was so good and that set the mood quite well. The theme, food, drinks, guest list and the originality of the new Diesel garment collection was carefully threaded together so well that one would be able to spot a crowd of fashion forward individuals huddled around an interesting outfit, most probably commenting, paying great attention to detail or trying these amazing fits on 

The audience was soon bubbling in a crescendo as familiar faces, such as Khuli Chana, Dr Smile, and the 'I see a different you' collective, graced the store and live social media feeds with hashtags like #DieselSA and #forsuccessfulliving were also included. 

When we all fairly assembled, the diesel team announced the reason behind celebrating the event with gusto. Diesel celebrates 30 years of great fashion in SA and 50 rules to abide by in the brand. This reminded us of why Diesel remains to be the successful, consistent and relative brand it is. 

Midway through the event we were all escorted outside the store to a surprise… 

And yes we partied in the parking lot just like the good old days before club houses were ever a thing. This well thought gesture confirmed why Diesel is still relevant; we were treated with fun music, an open bar and  a digital selfie booth which knitted the crowd together. All in all I had a great time and I can prove it. 

Much thanks to Diesel for the warm invite; I can't wait to get my hands on the new range in stores now.
