Following a twar (Twitter war) between the two earlier this year, Sunday World reported that new police minister Fikile Mbalula has filed a lawsuit against Metro FM DJ and sport personality, Robert Marawa.
The minister’s counsel, from a firm called Maluleke, Msimang and Associates, confirmed to Sunday World that they were taking Marawa to the South Gauteng High Court for remarks that he has reportedly been making about their client over the past two years.
The twar began after Times Media Group Sports, Editor Mninawa Ntloko, tweeted that Mbalula had hinted that Durban could lose the 2022 Commonwealth Games due to cost challenges.
“We are not suing him for money but to clear the good name of our client. Whether we are demanding R1 or R10-million is immaterial. Ultimately the court will decide on the amount that is suitable to ameliorate the damage. The principle here is that allegations like that our client wanted the SABC to fire Mr Marawa were made and we would like that to be retracted because our client never said that,” said one of the firm’s partners Mikateko Shirilele.
However, while we were still trying to figure out why Mbaweezy was so mad with Madluphuthu, music legend, Oskido was busy setting up a peace agreement between the two, and by the look of things, it seems to have worked!
In an image posted not so long ago, the former adversaries can been seen embracing and smiling. Oskido captioned the image with some deep message about conflict, forgiveness and peace.
This is not the first time Oskido has solved a dispute between two media personalities. Back in the early days of the Nyovest vs. AKA beef, Oskido arrange a meeting between the pair so they could patch things out. Too bad that didn’t last but we hope this resolution between the police minister and 083 Sports presenter will.

Conflicts and fights are a results of a failure to sit down and talk. This often leads to undesirable drama. It's good to see two people I hold highly, @robert_marawa and Minister of Police @[email protected], hug and make up after talking. To quote Gandhi – "And eye for an eye will make the whole world blind". Peace Ma'Gents #fikilembalula #nazooooo #robertmarawa #Amagrootmaan #peace #ibelieve
He also added that the minister is still open to the idea of mediation between himself and Marawa and merely filed a suit to get his attention and prove how serious he is about wanting that apology.
