Kambole said winning the COSAFA Cup was a good result to send his goodbyes to the Zambian football family as he will be playing in the Absa Premiership next season, but refused to comment on Chiefs, instead revealing AmaZulu as another club that has been targeting him.
“I think this is one way to say goodbye, so I think it’s a great feeling to win this cup for my people in Zambia, and it was my first time winning it after losing the final last year,” he said at Moses Mabhida Stadium.
Kambole then tried by all means to hide his next home by revealing that he got other offers from Angola and Tanzania, as well as Usuthu, but admitted playing in COSAFA helped him get more attention in South Africa.
When asked about Chiefs he laughed it off like someone who has been advised not to make any comment until the deal is done.
“This competition enhanced my reputation in some way to play in the PSL,” he added. “I will be facing new challenges, but all will depend on which team I will be playing at, as I got offers even at AmaZulu.
“Kaizer Chiefs? I don’t know about it [laughs], it’s just a rumour.”
