If you’ve been sleeping under a rock this past weekend you might have missed the biggest online news yet. On Saturday, a day before she was due to share the half time stage at the Sunday Super Bowl 50 halftime show with British band Coldplay, Beyoncé, or as her stans call her ‘Queen Bey’ released a surprise single plus a music video to accompany the single.
The single titled, Formation, is her first release since the release of her last album in 2014. News of the surprise release trended all weekend long on social networks and it caused quite stir with her fans from all over the world expressing their gratitude and love for Bey.
According to an article on CNN "Formation" is available to stream and download free, exclusively through Tidal, which is her husband, Jay Z’s streaming service. The video features references to Hurricane Katrina, Louisiana Creole culture and a guest appearance from her daughter Blue Ivy.

Seems like 2016 is going to be an exciting one yet, what with Rihanna releasing a surprise album days earlier also available for free downloading on Jay Z’s streaming service and now Beyoncé also dropping her very own single. We sure can’t wait until she drops the whole album, which we’re hoping is going to be soon.
