If you think trying to speak to your crush is the only time one becomes inarticulate, then clearly you haven’t tried showering Terry Pheto with compliments, that literally steals all your words away because you won’t even know where to start.
As if scoring the Best Supporting Actress award at the National Film Awards held in the UK this year for her role in A United Kingdom is not enough, the internationally award-winning South African actress is yet to claim other coveted awards when she attends the 4th annual International Achievement Recognition Awards (IARA Awards) in London this Saturday, 2 September 2017.
Pheto enters the IARA Awards as the most nominated actor this year with coveted nominations in the following categories: Best Actress 2017 and Best International Actress 2017 both for her role in A United Kingdom, and Best Actress – TV or Drama 2017 for her role in the BET Nelson Mandela series.
Fast becoming a globally recognised African, Terry Pheto’s story is truly an inspirational one and the strides she has been making in the U.K of late is highly notable.
The IARA Awards recognises and celebrates the exceptional work of extraordinary positive role models who have excelled within their respective industries. Terry Pheto shares:
“I’m attending the IARA Awards ceremony this weekend to acknowledge my nominations. I do what I do for the love of the craft, and not for the recognition. However being recognised for my talent whether locally or on an international platform is always humbling and appreciated. Thank you to the IARA Awards for recognizing my talent and for extending the invitation.”
We at Entertainment_SA look forward to seeing Terry Pheto dazzle in yet another local creation this Saturday.
