Steve Harvey’s style is all you want to see right now – See here

Steve Harvey is everybody’s favourite TV personality. He’s been on our screens for years, hosting major productions such as the Miss Universe pageant, appearing in hit films such as You Got Served and The Fighting Temptations alongside Beyonce.

His latest gig has been as the host of Celebrity Family Feud, a popular game show where he’s been seen rocking some major drip.

Lately, the 64-year-old’s been gaining a lot of attention with his Outfit of the Day posts on social media, transforming into a bonafide fashion influencer – and proving that swag has no age limit.

In an interview with GQ US, Harvey said he has his stylist, Elly Karamoh, to thank for his newfound style and confidence.

“I hired Elly and we did (the) NFL Honors (awards show) two years ago. The people at ’Celebrity Family Feud’ said, ‘Why don’t we let Steve dress like that on ’Celebrity Family Feud’?’ And that opened up the door. Because on ’Celebrity Family Feud’, the way they shot the show, I had to wear the same suit every show – I could just pick a dark blue or black or a grey. And Facebook Watch came along and said, ‘We don’t want you to dress like you did on your talk show. We want you to dress like you do in your day to day.’ So I went to Elly and said, ‘Okay, man, they’re going to let me do my thing. I need your help to help me get the stuff that I like, because I don’t know where to buy half of this stuff.’ So that was the beginning of it right there: they took the shackles off and didn’t require that I dress as a game show host all the time,” he said.

Elly, who’s been working with the star since 2019, said it took some trial and error for the pair to come up with a style for Steve that is a blend of both of their unique visions.

“I think that we work well together. We’ve pushed so many boundaries and we’ve butted heads so many times but we have a very similar eye now. We developed a trust in one another. So I think over time, I removed certain elements that he was used to, like the pocket square and the glen plaid pattern. Anything that was conservative, or a little too American style, was removed, said Elly.

Although is open to experimenting with new looks, he says there are a few things with which he will draw the line.

A no-go is high tops [sneakers]. I don’t care what he does. He’s brought some stuff in that house and I go, ‘Look, you got me in Armani sneakers, but I don’t like the athletic-looking shoe with a suit.’ That’s taking me too far.”

Instead, the media mogul leans more towards formal shoes. YSL boots seem to be a favourite of his, which he pairs with Dolce & Gabbana suits, Tom Ford tuxedos and of course, a pop of colour.

“Before I was a talk show host, I loved colors and that’s what I felt was missing,” said Harvey.

The coloured suits are definitely working, as many are praising the TV host for his unapologetic style.
