After a rough start to the year, following her very public break up to the hottest Mzansi rapper around, Cassper Nyovest, and facing rumours of dating her photographer, Anele Papu, whilst still dating Cassper, which were followed by negative comments on twitter, to facing rumours of her secretly becoming a sangoma, and even facing a backlash for posting her new house on social media. Boity has been through it all and it’s just only six months into the year.
However, this past week Boity managed to set the record straight and we couldn’t help but admire the way she did it. This weekend past, Boity came out and embraced her calling with just one picture. Following speculations since the 22nd annual SAMA Awards held in Durban – Boity was spotted wearing traditional beads around her wrist, said to be worn by people who have been called upon by their ancestors to become traditional healers. We on the other hand, didn’t know what to make of the rumours and the talks, but it seems she’s finally come out and confirmed the speculations with an image she posted Instagram.
In the image, Boity can be seen in a traditional outfit, with beads and a doek. The message accompanying the image simply says: They called. I answered”.
