Hailey Baldwin is getting out the vote in style as she is the face of Levi’s 2020 voting campaign.
In just less than 75 days to go until the presidential election, the 23-year-old model has teamed up with Levi’s and “Loving” directed Oge Egbuonu on a new campaign aimed at getting our country’s 70 million young eligible voters to the polls.
According to Levi’s, Baldwin approached the brand with the idea for a PSA. “I had a vision to put together a beautiful and powerful call to action to educate and inform the next generation of voters,” she said in a statement.
“Oge is an incredible force and she really helped me bring my idea to life. This election to me is the most important in my lifetime and I’m at the age now where I truly understand the impact my generation and the next has. My hope with this call to action is that it would encourage, educate and inspire this next generation to vote in November and to understand why it’s important.”
In the accompanying black-and-white campaign images, Baldwin models a grey Levi’s x Vote hoodie ($74.50) with a hacked-off hem — part of the brand’s voting-themed collection — along with easy denim shorts and gold hoop earrings. Jaden Smith and Miguel also star in the shots, as do researcher and educator Dr Joy DeGruy, professor and civil leader Dr Melina Abdullah, poet Jazmine Williams and more.
As part of the initiative, Levi Strauss & Co. and the Levi Strauss Foundation are donating a collective $2.6 million to various voting rights organizations including the ACLU, Black Futures Lab, Rock the Vote and more.
